Dr Alfaf Albakistani is an Academic Skills Tutor with a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Birkbeck, University of London. Her teaching and research focus on academic writing, learner psychology, and inclusive study skills development. She has extensive experience supporting international and widening-participation students and is passionate about helping learners build confidence, critical thinking, and independent academic voice in higher education.
